We are seeking a dynamic Production Operative to join our client's manufacturing team.
 
Job Title: Production Operative
Hours: Monday to Friday 06:00 am - 2:00 pm 
Pay: £12.71 an hour
Job Type: Full time; Temporary Ongoing
Location: Cullompton
 
About the Production Operative role:
This role involves assembling components and products with precision and attention to detail, contributing to the efficient production of high-quality goods. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with electrical systems, and experience using various hand and power tools. 
 
Key Responsibilities of the Production Operative:

• Assemble electronic and mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
• Operate machines to facilitate automated assembly processes
• Winding copper wire into coils and onto looms
• Conduct assembly of circuit boards and coil winding with accuracy and care
• Perform routine inspections of assembled products to ensure quality standards are met
• Follow technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions precisely
• Assist in troubleshooting assembly issues by applying electrical and mechanical knowledge
• Maintain a clean and organised workstation to uphold safety standards
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets efficiently

Requirements of the Production Operative:

• Proven experience in assembly operations, ideally within electronics or mechanical manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools and assembly techniques
• Basic electrical experience and understanding of electrical components and circuitry
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Good attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and quality assurance
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Good manual dexterity and the physical ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Soldering or assembly experience (preferable)
• Able to keep accurate records and work to targets
