Chemical Engineer The Opportunity: An exciting opportunity within a leading engineering manufacturer for a qualified or experienced
Chemical Engineer. You will take ownership for developing new and emerging
Chemical Processes within this busy manufacturing environment. The
Chemical Engineer must have confidence in their chemistry and calculations ability, and a knowledge of Sodium and Potassium Hydroxide chemical reactions would be really useful.
Please note that this is a hands on role in a busy factory environment, and not a clean room lab based position.
The Role:
- Your role will be varied, hands on in an engineering facility and fully utilize your knowledge and confidence in Chemistry and it’s application in dissolving core materials.
- Co-ordination with Product, Process and Manufacturing Engineers to implement technical developments and support engineering in solving process related product defects.
- Calculating potassium and sodium hydroxide usage.
- Ensure Chemical Processes are performed in compliance with the methods, materials and equipment detailed in the relevant Corporate Manual.
- Monitor and control incoming materials. Ensure approval and implementation of new materials meet all compliance requirements.
Preferred Skills:- Ideally you will hold a Masters in Chemical Engineering, or at least a BSc or HNC in Engineering.
- If you’ve worked within a manufacturing or engineering business previously that would be beneficial, but recent graduates/post grads will be considered.
- High level of computer literacy required.
- You’ll be a confident, hands on Chemist who’s good at calculations.
Working Hours: 8.00am-4.00pm Monday to Friday
