Contracts Manager – Specialist Construction – Permanent

💼 Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 + Profit Share Bonus

Our client is seeking an organised, commercially minded and proactive Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects across the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contracts from initial enquiry through to completion, building strong client relationships, coordinating operational teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

This position would suit an experienced Contracts Manager or Project Manager from a construction or specialist contracting background who enjoys managing multiple projects while maintaining exceptional standards of quality and compliance.

What You'll Be Doing

✔ Managing contracts from quotation through to successful project completion

✔ Visiting client sites to assess works and prepare accurate quotations

✔ Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients

✔ Planning and scheduling labour, subcontractors and project resources

✔ Producing detailed project programmes, Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)

✔ Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures

✔ Monitoring project progress, budgets and commercial performance

✔ Carrying out regular site inspections and Health & Safety audits

✔ Supporting and developing operational teams to deliver high-quality workmanship

✔ Managing project documentation and ensuring accurate contract records are maintained

✔ Working closely with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and professionally
 

What We're Looking For

💡 Previous experience as a Contracts Manager, Project Manager or similar within the construction industry

💡 Strong project management experience delivering multiple contracts simultaneously

💡 Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and maximise profitability

💡 Strong leadership and people management skills

💡 Excellent organisational and planning abilities

💡 Confident communicator with the ability to build lasting client relationships

💡 Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and site compliance

💡 Experience within specialist contracting or highly regulated environments would be advantageous but is not essential
