Customer Service Advisor

An established Exeter-based business is looking to recruit a Customer Service Advisor to join its busy customer support team.
 
This is a varied role combining telephone-based customer service, order processing and administration. You'll be supporting an established network of business customers, dealing with day-to-day enquiries and making sure orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
 
It would suit someone who enjoys speaking to customers, is comfortable working in a busy environment and has strong attention to detail.
 
The role as a Customer Service Advisor:
Your responsibilities will include:

• Handling incoming calls from customers regarding orders, products and general enquiries
• Processing orders received by telephone and email
• Preparing order acknowledgements, invoices and pro-forma documentation
• Liaising with warehouse and distribution teams regarding customer deliveries
• Calculating applicable discounts and delivery/carriage charges
• Dealing with customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently
• Keeping customer information accurate and up to date on the CRM system
• Raising and managing customer service tickets where required
• Providing administrative and customer support to the field-based sales team
• Building positive working relationships with customers and colleagues across different departments

About you as a Customer Service Advisor:
 
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Previous customer service, sales administration or order-processing experience
• Confident and professional telephone communication skills
• Good written communication
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Good Microsoft Office skills and general computer literacy
• The ability to manage several tasks and priorities at the same time
• A positive approach to learning new systems and product information
• The ability to work independently while also contributing to a wider team
