Job Description:

Currently recruiting for an established manufacturing business in Exeter, seeking a customer service advisor to join its team.

Reporting to the Customer Services Manager, you will be responsible for handling inbound enquiries from retailers, processing customer orders and providing accurate information and support.

The position involves working in a busy customer service environment, liaising with internal departments and ensuring customer enquiries and orders are handled efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer inbound telephone calls from retailers regarding orders and general enquiries.
• Process customer orders received by telephone, email and fax.
• Prepare pro-forma invoices, invoices and order acknowledgements.
• Liaise with warehouse and distribution teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
• Calculate customer discounts and carriage costs.
• Handle customer complaints and enquiries, ensuring issues are resolved professionally and promptly.
• Maintain accurate customer records within the CRM system, raising tickets where required.
• Provide administrative support to the field-based sales teams.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with retailers, customers and internal departments.
• Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Skills and Experience Required

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks within a busy working environment.
• Willingness to learn new systems and retain product information.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience in a customer service or customer support position.
• Experience handling customer enquiries over the telephone.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous use of CRM systems.
