Human Resources Advisor
 
Salary: Up to £35,000 depending on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys a varied role where no two days are quite the same?
 
We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Human Resources Advisor to join our HR team and play a key role in supporting our people, managers and wider business.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys the breadth of a generalist HR role, but who also has a passion for employee engagement, internal communications, employer branding and community involvement.
 
You'll provide day-to-day HR support across the organisation, while also helping to create an engaging employee experience and strengthen our profile within the local community.
 
What you'll be doing
 
You'll have a broad and interesting remit, including:

• Providing day-to-day generalist HR support and advice to employees, managers and leaders.
• Maintaining the HR information system and managing employee changes, documentation, reports and correspondence.
• Supporting recruitment and onboarding, from preparing job descriptions and advertisements through to right-to-work checks, offers and welcoming new starters.
• Supporting managers with employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance investigations, flexible working and other HR issues.
• Monitoring sickness absence and supporting absence meetings, wellbeing processes and Occupational Health referrals.
• Managing and supporting employee benefits, identifying opportunities to enhance the overall employee offering.
• Developing engaging internal communications, ensuring messages and materials are professional, consistent and aligned with corporate guidelines.
• Creating and maintaining content across relevant social media platforms and the company intranet.
• Supporting the development of the organisation's employer brand, helping to build its reputation as an employer of choice within the local community.
• Organising and supporting events, open days, STEM activities and early careers initiatives.
• Identifying local sponsorship, community engagement and promotional opportunities.
• Supporting internal committees and initiatives focused on areas such as charity and community, equality, diversity and inclusion, wellbeing and employee engagement.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and helping to promote a positive, inclusive and safe working environment.

It's a role that combines traditional HR responsibilities with communications, engagement and employer branding — ideal for someone who enjoys variety and likes to make a visible contribution.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who can combine strong HR knowledge with excellent communication and organisational skills.

You'll ideally have:

• CIPD Level 5, or be currently studying towards it, or have demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in a similar HR role.
• Generalist HR experience, with confidence supporting managers and employees across a range of HR matters.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience and confidence using social media professionally, including LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
• A collaborative and proactive approach, with the confidence to work with people at all levels of an organisation.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.

A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel in the UK and occasionally overseas are also required for aspects of the role.

Working hours
37.5 hours per week

• Monday-Thursday: 7.30am-4.30pm, including a 45-minute lunch break
• Friday: 7.30am-12.00pm
