Live‑In Carer – Exeter, Devon

Salary: £140–£145 per day
Food Allowance: £40 per week
Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Start Date: 15th June
Contract Type: Self‑employed

About the Role

We are seeking a kind, reliable, and experienced female live‑in carer  to support an independent lady living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in her own home in Exeter.

This is a long‑term position for someone who is compassionate, patient, and confident in providing high‑quality, person‑centred care while promoting independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing daily personal care in a respectful and supportive manner
• Assisting with mobility and transfers using a standing hoist
• Supporting daily living activities while encouraging independence
• Monitoring wellbeing and responding calmly and confidently to needs
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience supporting clients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
• Care certificates and relevant training
• Manual handling and standing hoist experience using a re-turn  (essential)
• Up‑to‑date Moving & Handling certificate
• Excellent understanding of person‑centred care
• Ability to work independently and responsibly

• Strong communication skills

Requirements

• Female carer (genuine occupational requirement)
• Enhanced DBS and registered on the Update Service
• Right to work in the UK
• Up‑to‑date training certificates
• Self‑employed status, including:
  • Your own liability insurance
