Job Description:

We are looking for a proactive, organised and commercially minded Marketplace Onboarding & Seller Success Executive to join a growing e-commerce marketplace team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone at the early stage of their career who is interested in e-commerce, online marketplaces, seller relationships and business operations. You will play a key role in bringing new sellers onto the marketplace, helping them establish their businesses successfully and ensuring they have the right foundations for long-term growth.

You will work closely with the New Business Lead, Seller Account Management team and wider internal functions to deliver a smooth and engaging onboarding experience from initial sign-up through to the seller's transition into ongoing account management.

Role Overview

As a Marketplace Onboarding & Seller Success Executive, you will take ownership of the new seller journey, supporting sellers through account setup, compliance, product listings, integrations and operational requirements.

You will act as a key point of contact during the seller's first 4–6 months, helping to resolve issues, monitor performance, provide guidance and identify opportunities to improve their experience and marketplace performance.

The role combines seller relationship management, onboarding, marketplace operations, compliance, reporting and problem solving, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced and varied environment.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Onboarding new sellers and guiding them through marketplace systems, tools, processes and policies.
• Working with the New Business Lead to complete seller vetting and internal compliance checks.
• Ensuring sellers meet relevant legal, regulatory and marketplace requirements throughout the onboarding and introductory period.
• Supporting the identification, prioritisation and progression of key new seller opportunities in line with business strategy.
• Acting as a dedicated point of contact for new sellers during the sign-up and introductory stages.
• Providing guidance and support on account setup, marketplace processes and operational requirements.
• Assisting sellers with product listings, product optimisation and ensuring all relevant logistical requirements are in place.
• Supporting sellers with product and catalogue onboarding to ensure listings are accurate, complete and marketplace-ready. Troubleshooting and resolving issues relating to account setup, product listings, integrations and operational processes.
• Working with internal technical and operational teams to investigate and escalate issues where required.
• Supporting new sellers throughout their first 4–6 months, monitoring progress, KPIs and key performance indicators.
• Identifying sellers requiring additional support and escalating key opportunities or risks to the appropriate teams.
• Preparing sellers for a smooth transition from the onboarding phase into the Seller Account Management team.
• Delivering onboarding sessions, training and guidance to new sellers to support successful integration.
• Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Seller Account Management, Finance, Marketing, Compliance and Operations.
• Producing and analysing regular reports to track onboarding progress, seller performance and key marketplace metrics.
• Using Zendesk and other relevant systems to manage seller enquiries, ensuring queries are resolved accurately and within appropriate timescales. Building positive and professional relationships with sellers and contributing to an excellent overall seller experience.
• Identifying opportunities to improve the onboarding process, seller experience and operational efficiency.

Essential & Desirable Skills

We are looking for someone who has:

• 0–2 years' experience, ideally with an interest in e-commerce, online marketplaces, retail or business operations.
• Experience gained through academic projects, internships, placements, part-time roles or relevant work experience will be considered.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues. An interest in marketplace platforms, e-commerce tools and online retail.
• Familiarity with product listings, seller platforms or marketplace processes would be advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Confidence using Microsoft Excel, including formulas, graphs and basic data analysis. The ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
• A professional, collaborative and respectful approach to working with others. Confidence working cross-functionally with technical, operational and commercial teams.
• The ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
• A commercial mindset, with an interest in understanding what helps sellers perform and grow.
