Dunkeswell, Honiton, Devon (EX14) | £17.50 per hour (first 38 hours) / £26.25 overtime / £35.00 Sunday overtime | Monday to Friday, 6am-4pm | 4-Day Working Week | Temporary to Permanent / Permanent

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Production Team Leader to join a successful and growing manufacturing business based in Dunkeswell, near Honiton, Devon.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Team Leader, Manufacturing Team Leader, Production Supervisor, Shift Leader, Senior Production Operative, or Senior Operator looking for a long-term career within a well-established manufacturing environment.

You will play a key role in leading a production team, ensuring operational targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Please note: Due to the location, applicants must have their own transport.

What We Offer

• £17.50 per hour for the first 38 hours worked.
• £26.25 per hour overtime after 38 hours.
• £35.00 per hour Sunday overtime.
• Monday to Friday, 6am-4pm.
• 4-day working week.
• One fixed weekday off each week on a rota.
• Every weekend off, with Sunday overtime available if required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of Production Operatives.
• Ensure daily production targets and customer requirements are achieved.
• Organise workloads and allocate tasks effectively.
• Monitor production processes to maximise output and minimise downtime.
• Maintain high standards of product quality and accuracy.
• Complete production paperwork and computer-based records.
• Promote and maintain excellent health and safety standards.
• Support the training, coaching, and development of team members.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Assist with resolving production issues.
• Encourage teamwork, communication, and a positive working environment.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience as a Production Team Leader, Manufacturing Team Leader, Production Supervisor, Shift Leader, Senior Operator, or Senior Production Operative.
• Experience within a manufacturing, production, FMCG, food production, or factory environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to organise workloads and prioritise tasks.
• Confident decision-making and problem-solving ability.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of health and safety, quality standards, and production processes.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Own transport essential due to the location.
