Security Care Support Worker

Location: Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust – Torbay Hospital, TQ2 7AA
Shifts: 07:00–19:00 (days) and 19:00–07:00 (nights) between 2-4 shifts a week based on your schedule. (shifts time can not be changed)

Pay rates:

£13.60 per hour (Monday–Friday) – Band 3

£18.36 per hour (Saturdays and nights)

£22.99 per hour (Sundays)

About the role

As a Security Care Support Worker (ECSO), you will play an important role in helping to deliver safe, high‑quality one‑to‑one or enhanced care for patients who need increased observation due to mental health, cognitive, or behavioural needs.

Working closely with the Enhanced Care and Security teams, you will help maintain a safe, dignified and therapeutic environment for patients, visitors and colleagues across the Trust. The role can be demanding, but also highly rewarding. It is ideal for individuals who are calm under pressure, compassionate, emotionally resilient and physically able to meet the demands of the position.

This is a temporary but ongoing placement with consistent work and potential long‑term opportunities.
