Ready to lead a small laboratory team while staying hands-on with the technical work?
We're recruiting a Senior Laboratory Technician for a manufacturing business in Exeter. You'll manage a team of three and work closely with the Laboratory Manager to keep testing, quality and compliance on track. 

What you'll be doing

• Managing and supporting three laboratory team members
• Planning daily laboratory work and ensuring testing is completed accurately
• Carrying out chemical analysis and investigating technical issues
• Monitoring and interpreting analytical results
• Overseeing environmental and effluent testing
• Maintaining safe working practices and laboratory procedures
• Supporting audits and working with production colleagues
• Improving quality, consistency and efficiency across the laboratory

What we're looking for

You'll have experience in a laboratory and knowledge of chemical testing techniques. You'll be organised, confident solving problems and comfortable guiding a small team.
Previous supervisory or manufacturing laboratory experience would be useful but is not essential. Relevant science, chemistry, laboratory or engineering qualifications are also welcome.
