Appoint is recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established Civil Engineering contractor based in Exeter. The business has secured a strong pipeline of infrastructure projects across Devon, extending beyond five years, offering excellent long-term stability and career opportunities. This is an office-based role in Exeter, working closely with the commercial and operational teams.
 
The Role:

• Commercial management of civil engineering projects under NEC4 contracts.
• Managing valuations, applications for payment, compensation events and final accounts.
• Subcontractor procurement, management and payments.
• Preparing cost forecasts, CVRs and commercial reports.
• Managing commercial risks and opportunities to maximise project profitability.
• Working closely with project managers and site teams to ensure successful delivery.

About You:

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor working for a Civil Engineering contractor.
• Strong working knowledge and practical experience of NEC4 contracts.
• Experience delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial awareness, contractual knowledge and communication skills.
• Water or wastewater infrastructure experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
