Site Engineer – Highways Project (Contract) 📍 Newton Abbot
💷 £350 per day (Umbrella – PAYE)
🕒 Long-term Contract
The Role We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a live highways project in Newton Abbot on a contract basis. This is a long-term opportunity on a well-established scheme, suitable for a proactive engineer with solid highways and civils experience.
Key Responsibilities

• Setting out for highways works including drainage, kerbing, earthworks and pavement construction
• Producing and maintaining accurate site records and as-built drawings
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements
• Working closely with Site Management, subcontractors and the wider project team
• Ensuring all works comply with current health & safety standards

Essential Criteria

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering / highways projects
• Civil Engineering qualification
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office and Trimle 
• Strong understanding of health & safety policies and procedures
• Ability to prioritise time-critical work
• Excellent communication and liaison skills
• SMSTS
• First Aid
• Relevant CSCS card
• Full UK driving licence
