Senior Structural Engineer
Design-Led Consultancy | Exeter

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join a growing civil and structural engineering consultancy in Exeter.
This is a design-led practice focused on quality over volume, delivering bespoke residential and commercial projects from initial concept through to completion.
You’ll work directly with architects, developers and clients, with plenty of autonomy and the opportunity to influence projects from the earliest stages.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of a varied portfolio of structural engineering projects, including:

• Structural design, calculations, drawings and technical reports
• Residential and commercial developments
• Structural surveys and feasibility assessments
• Early-stage planning and engineering input
• Coordination with architects, consultants and clients
• Managing projects and client relationships
• Maintaining technical quality across project delivery

It’s a hands-on role with the freedom to make engineering decisions and see your projects through from concept to construction.

About You

You’ll ideally have:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum five years’ industry experience
• Strong AutoCAD and Tekla knowledge
• Revit, Site3D or Flow experience advantageous
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to manage your own projects and workload
• A proactive, technically strong approach
